Mercury Drops to 11°C as Quetta Winds Chill Karachi

KARACHI (AIA) Karachi continues to face dry weather with cool nights as strong Quetta winds sweep through the city, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The minimum temperature recorded on Friday was 12.4°C, with predictions of a drop to around 11°C in the coming hours. Winds are blowing at a steady speed of 10 kilometres per hour, while humidity remains at 28%.
The cold gusts, originating from northeastern Balochistan, intensified between Thursday and Friday night, bringing a sharp chill to Karachi. Wind speeds in Balochistan have reached up to 33 km/h, contributing to the cool temperatures.
The Met Office has forecasted continued dry weather for the next 24 hours, with the potential for further drops in daytime temperatures as the strong winds persist.
