Punjab Launches Special Buses for Rural Women

LAHORE (AIA) The Punjab government has decided to launch special buses for women in rural areas to improve mobility and access to essential services.
The decision was made during a meeting in Lahore, chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. It was agreed that a dedicated bus service would operate in every rural tehsil, connecting women to their district headquarters.
Speaking at the meeting, the chief minister said the initiative would enhance the confidence of rural women while facilitating female students and patients who face transport challenges.
