Shehbaz Arrives in Quetta, Set to Chair Security Meeting After Jaffar Express Attack

QUETTA (AIA) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on a one-day visit Thursday, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Nawabzada Mir Khalid Magsi, and other senior officials.
Upon arrival at Quetta Airport, the prime minister was welcomed by Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir, Inspector General of Police Balochistan, and other key provincial officials.
During the visit, PM Sharif will chair a high-level meeting to assess the province’s security situation. Officials are set to brief him on the current law and order dynamics, with a focus on the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express.
