
Turkish President Erdogan Arrives In Islamabad On Two-day Visit
— February 12, 2025ISLAMABAD ( AIA ) President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday, where he was accorded a warm welcome on his two-day visit to Pakistan.
President Erdogan was received by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto, and other high-ranking government officials at Nur Khan Airbase.
A 21-gun salute and a ceremonial welcome marked the Turkish president’s arrival, which was accompanied by a high-level delegation. Pakistan Air Force jets escorted President Erdogan’s special aircraft as it entered Pakistani airspace.
During his visit, President Erdogan will co-chair the 7th Session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He will also hold bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Sharif and President Zardari.
The Turkish president is also scheduled to address the Pakistan-Turkiye Business and Investment Forum, alongside Prime Minister Sharif, to promote trade and investment between the two countries.
The visit is expected to strengthen diplomatic ties and cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye.
