PM Shehbaz, UAE President Discuss Trade, Call for Lasting Middle East Peace

 

ABU DHABI (AIA) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Tuesday to discuss bilateral trade, economic cooperation, and regional developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East.
The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati as PM Shehbaz arrived in the UAE for a two-day visit to attend the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai, held under the theme ‘Shaping Future Governments.’ The UAE president warmly welcomed the Pakistani prime minister.
Both leaders explored ways to strengthen Pakistan-UAE cooperation, focusing on expanding trade, investment, and development opportunities. They also discussed shared strategies for sustainable economic growth and mutual prosperity.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of the World Governments Summit in identifying global governance trends and developing strategies to enhance government preparedness in tackling global challenges.
Regional and international issues, particularly developments in the Middle East, were a key part of the discussions. Both sides reaffirmed the need for intensified international efforts to achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace in Palestine, stressing the two-state solution as essential for regional security and stability.
