Shehbaz Felicitates APNS Leaders, Reaffirms Commitment to Press Freedom

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the newly elected office bearers of the Executive Committee of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS).
In a statement, he expressed confidence that the newly elected members would actively contribute to maintaining high standards of journalism. He also reaffirmed his hope that APNS would continue to uphold the supremacy of journalistic values.
Shehbaz emphasised that the government welcomes constructive media criticism, recognising it as an essential role of the press as the fourth pillar of the state.
