
16 KPK Police Inspectors Promoted to DSP Rank
— March 28, 2025PESHAWAR (AIA) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Zulfiqar Hameed, on Tuesday decorated 16 police inspectors with the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) during a special ceremony at the Central Police Office in Peshawar. The event was attended by senior officers, including Additional IGPs Awwal Khan (HQ), Kashif Alam (Investigation), Akhtar Abbas (Training), and Alam Shenwari (Internal Accountability).
Also present were DIGs Rizwan Manzoor (HQ), Muhammad Suleman (CP), Aftab Mehsud and Dr Quraish Khan (Investigation), Dr Mian Muhammad Saeed Khan (Security), and AIG Establishment Sonia Shamrooz.
IGP Zulfiqar Hameed expressed full confidence in the promoted officers, stating that they had proven their capabilities through exemplary service across various postings in the province.
“Officers who uphold the rule of law and strengthen institutions leave a unique mark in history,” he said. He urged the newly promoted DSPs to embrace their heightened responsibilities with integrity and dedication, ensuring public service remains their top priority.
“The force takes pride in your abilities,” the IGP added. “We trust you will utilise your skills to tackle challenges effectively and meet the expectations of both the government and the people.”
Congratulating the officers, he emphasised that promotions reflect hard work and commitment, boosting overall morale within the police force.
The newly promoted DSPs include Saira Saleh, Ehsanullah, Kazi Aslam, Karamat Shah, Mohammad Dayar, Fayyaz Karim, Imdadullah, Mohammad Naeem, Hazratuddin, Iqbaluddin, Faiz Mohammad, Amir Zeb, Mohammad Anwar, Muqaddar Khan, Syed Ahmad, and Mohammad Ismail.
