PM Shehbaz Invites Chinese Textile Firms to Invest in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday invited Chinese companies, particularly those in the textile sector, to establish their industries in Pakistan, assuring them of all-out facilitation by his government.
Chairing a meeting focused on promoting Pakistan-China cooperation, the PM highlighted China’s role as a key partner in Pakistan’s development. He expressed Pakistan’s desire to enhance cooperation with China in agriculture, information technology, and energy, while also increasing its exports to China.
In the meeting, various ministries presented their proposals to strengthen the Pakistan-China economic relationship, a PM Office press release said.
The PM reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing foolproof security for Chinese nationals working in Pakistan, noting that a comprehensive security plan is already in place. He informed the meeting participants that the government is preparing for the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He expressed optimism that, with China’s cooperation, Gwadar Port would develop into a major logistics hub.
